Why should I join the FACD?

Do I need to be a member of any other organization to be a member of the FACD?
No there are no other membership requirements to be an FACD member. It is not even mandatory to be a member of the AACD to join the FACD.
What if I find it difficult to acquire 2 member sponsors?
Most Florida dentists probably know at least one current member. Please browse our Membership Directory found here for sponsors. If you need additional sponsors please call the FACD office for assistance at (866) 608-FACD or email atooley@flacosmeticdentistry.org.
Do my annual dues include the cost of attending the meeting?
YES! Unlike other organizations the FACD dues includes admission to our Annual Scientific Session & Trade Show. For more information on the next FACD Annual Scientific Session & Trade Show, click here.
Does the FACD abide by any particular philosophy?
No, the FACD is fully aware of our membership having different dental philosophies and we welcome all viewpoints.
Do I need to be a Florida resident?
No, many out of state dentists join the FACD just to attend our great annual meeting.
Can I bring my team to the meeting?
Yes, we encourage team attendance. The FACD feels the better educated your team is, the more successful your practice will become. For more information, click here.
Can I invite my specialists to the annual meeting?
Yes, the information presented at our annual meeting is valuable to many specialties.
Can my lab technician attend the meeting?
Yes, not only is the annual meeting educational to lab technicians but the FACD has developed a lab membership and a laboratory directory. When we study together we grow together!
If I don’t renew my membership, do I have to reapply?
Yes, you have to reapply, pay the $100 reapplication fee and get 2 sponsors. So it is best to keep you membership active.
